National board service
Disaster Services Corporation, Society of St. Vincent de Paul USA
Since 2020, I have served on the board of Disaster Services Corporation, SVDP-USA, a subsidiary corporation of the National Council of the United States Society of St. Vincent de Paul and part of the SVDP family. The Society began in France in 1833, and DSC carries that tradition of person-to-person service into modern disaster recovery across the United States and its territories. Its work supports families and communities affected by natural and human-caused disasters through long-term case management, recovery grants, Parish Recovery Assistance Centers, and the House in a Box program. That work often continues after initial responders and public attention have moved on. After joining the board, I was selected in 2020 to chair the Business Development and Fundraising Committee. That historical committee role included reviewing development plans and RFPs, helping shape funding strategy and partnerships, and supporting long-range planning for financial stability and organizational capacity. As a board member, I continue to contribute to governance and strategy. View the current leadership record.
